High cholesterol

   I was told by my doctor that my cholesterol is high.  I have yet to find out the Hdl and LDL levels though.  I wasn't suprised given my eating fast food a bit too much the past few months.

Given that I am committed to changing my diet, are there any supplements or other suggestions that can help me?  I have quite a few pounds to lose, and my father is taking a cholesterol drug now.  I don't want to take medication for it.
